“Our experienced leaders and missionaries will accompany participants through a seven-month journey over six different continents, and in each country there will be a new adventure to complete,” said Dave Hearn, founder of Global Adventure. Participants will be relying on faith, training and wits to reach ministry destinations and serve in communities around the world.
The journey will start with a week of training in the Peak District and will culminate with planting a church in Eastern Africa, in partnership with African pastors and NGOs. In between, participants will minister to third world villages, inner-city homeless and prostitutes, orphans, and communities ravaged by natural disaster. Throughout it all, these adventurers will take part in team challenges, urban scavenger hunts, and navigate cross-country.
The age for a typical adventurer is between 20 and 35 years old. Participants must be ready to be challenged both physically and spiritually and be flexible and willing to work in a team setting. Global Adventure is a non-denominational Christian charity and participants may raise donations to support their mission or partner with their local church to sponsor the adventure.
