The Bathroom is the Deadliest Room in Everyone’s Home

Prescription Medication Kills Thousands of People Each and Every Year

Sept. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- PHILADELPHIA – What is the deadliest room in a house? Amazingly it is the bathroom. Even more specifically, it is the medicine chest inside of the bathroom. Expired medication and drugs with unknown side effects injure and kills thousands each and every year. The worst part is, most of the time we are not aware of the risk until it is simply too late.

“People trust drug companies and doctors to prescribe medicine that helps cure a disease or enhances their quality of life,” said Jesse Levine with Med Recall News. “The problem is we find out later that many of these drugs and other medical devices are actually killing people instead of helping them.”

There are a number of drugs recently discovered to be injuring and killing people instead of helping them. Among the many drugs with deadly side effects are Actos, Paxil, Pradaxa, Shantix, Topamax, Yaz and Zoloft.

Medical devices are also to blame for many injuries and deaths. Among the many medical devices found to be causing health problems are hip implants; the Granuflo dialysis treatment; and birth control devices such as the very popular Nuvaring.

“Amazingly millions of people across the nation used one or many of those very common drugs and medical devices,” Levine said. “Many people may still be using them. Now we are finding out that these drugs and medical devices have dangerous, and often deadly, previously unknown side effects.”

Just as an example, the popularly prescribed antidepressant drug Zoloft has been connected to a six fold increase in fetal birth defects including potentially fatal circulatory problems.

“Many people were popping Zoloft just like candy,” Levine said. “If you happen to be pregnant when you took it and had a child with these problems, you may not have connected it to the Food and Drug Administration approved antidepressant medication.”

For people that have taken these drugs, Levine wants to point out that they may be entitled to compensation for their injuries or the death of their loved ones.

“Anyone that has taken these drugs, or knows someone that has taken these drugs, needs to get more information about their side effects immediately,” he said. “The best way to get more details about these deadly drugs is to check out the Med Recall News website. We have been consumer advocates helping people get the compensation they deserve for more than 10 years. Plus we never charge a fee for our services.”
