Follow on Google News | Elite Training Session to be Held in Light of Recent Announcements within Puget Sound Premier LeagueJimmy Ball, son of Premier League great Alan Ball, to host an elite coaching education clinic in Spokane, WA on Friday September 28th at 7pm. Announcement will also be made detailing elite training opportunity for Puget Sound Premier League players.
By: Kim Tate Sports In addition, the session will have information about exciting new leagues, (NPL) new programs (PDP/id2) and the new direction the Puget Sound Premier League is heading. Jimmy serves as the coaching director for large youth club Issaquah Soccer Club, and works as an advisor with the Puget Sound Premier League, the largest US Club Soccer Sanctioned League in the State of Washington. Ball comes from a genetic line of leaders and talent in the game. His father, Alan Ball (also known affectionately as “Curly Alan Ball”) played for England 72 times, won the World Cup in 1966, and played for Everton, Arsenal, and Southampton. He coached the England National team under managers Graham Taylor and Kevin Keegan. Jimmy was never far from his father’s side during his managerial career. From the age of 24, he was given the responsibility at some of the highest levels in English football and has continued to impart his knowledge on his players and other coaches. He’s coached alongside World Cup Legend Ossie Ardiles and has played and acted as manager of top clubs in Europe. "As a player I was fortunate enough to play at every level of English Football,” says Ball. “The biggest difference between the Premier League players and the 3rd division players was simply the Prem players made better decisions faster. One of my main topics during every session I do is not only making good decisions but making them quickly.” Jimmy’s clinic will be comprised of 4 sessions: a multi-movement ball work warm up, a 1/2-touch ball work drill, and two types of keep-away games focusing on speed of play and decision making. The Spokane-based Soccer Edge Academy will provide its outstanding U17 girls team to demonstrate the session for Jimmy. Media Contact: Kim Tate | Kim@Kimtatesports.com | 206-229-1168 End
