The recognition, awarded annually, was created to publicly congratulate companies who stress the four elements contained in the We CARE name itself: community, activity, recognition and enterprise. Nominees are judged on how their employees are encouraged to participate in volunteer activities in their community and how they support community-based events through philanthropic efforts.
