Throughout the month of October, Applebee’s will host a Komen Running Ribbon Campaign, allowing guests to donate $1 or more for the Komen Central Valley affiliate. In addition, Applebee’s will host a Dining to Donate all-day event on Oct. 20, in which 20 percent of each guest’s bill will be donated to Komen Central Valley. Between Sept. 11 and Sept. 25, every registered race participant who raises $150 in online donations will be entered to win a $100 Applebee’s gift card. Donations must be made directly to the race participant. A total of seven winners will be chosen the week of Sept. 25, Oct. 8 and Oct. 19. Those who have already raised more than $150 online will be measured on how much their funds increase through Sept. 25. Winners of the Applebee’s gift cards will be announced on Komen Central Valley’s Facebook page.

About Susan G. Komen For the Cure
Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Komen Race for the Cure® and Komen 3-Day for the Cure®, we have invested more than $1.9 billion to fulfill our promise, becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.
