Flagler County Chamber & Daytona Beach News-Journal Announce New Partnership

Sept. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- The Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates and Daytona Beach News-Journal recently signed an agreement that would leverage the strengths of both organizations, while significantly increasing the visibility of the Chamber, its mission and members.

As part of the agreement, the Chamber’s newsletter, The Voice, will now be distributed through the Flagler/Palm Coast News-Tribune.  The Voice will be available as a monthly four-page center spread in the newspaper’s Business Section. The first issue will be released Saturday, October 13.  

According to the chamber’s Chairman, Garry Lubi, the new partnership complements recent efforts to increase awareness of the chamber and its programs. “We are excited about this opportunity to communicate with even more local businesses and residents, while demonstrating how our chamber makes a difference in the community we serve.”  

The arrangement also allows the chamber to increase its newsletter distribution exponentially and to expand its reach as a prominent advocate of Flagler County’s business community.  The Flagler/Palm Coast News-Tribune’s average Saturday distribution is 11,500.

Officials at the News-Journal also see the partnership as positive from a business perspective.  

“The strength of any community can be seen in the strength of its businesses and the jobs, services and opportunities they provide its citizens,” News-Journal Publisher Ron Wallace. “We see this partnership as a tremendous opportunity in which two of the most dedicated business advocates in Flagler County work hand-in-hand to help improve the quality of life for all, through support of economic development, education improvements, and job creation – and by sharing the many great stories that result from these important efforts.”  

The chamber will provide all editorial content for The Voice, including business-related articles, a calendar of events, member profiles, lists of new and renewing members and photos from recent events. News-Journal account executives will be responsible for securing advertisers for The Voice.
