New fly fishing section at Bayside Boat & Tackle On on Irondequoit Bay

Sept. 16, 2012 - PRLog -- “I believe the Rochester region is one of the greatest fisheries in the United States and late September brings runs of Salmon, Brown Trout and Steelhead up our creeks rivers and streams. Last year when we re-opened the tackle shop at Bayside I wanted to be sure and expand our selection for fly fishing.”
Each weekend Our PRO staff will be offering casting lessons, share stories and be available for questions about the best gear for fly fishing enthusiasts. “Stop in to share some big fish stories or a just a cup of coffee”
“This fall thousands of salmon (Kings, Atlantics and Choho) will enter the tributaries of Lake Ontario to spawn. Following these fish in mid to late September and early October are brown trout and steelhead to take advantage of the feast. Fly fishermen (and women) from all over the country come to land one  of these trophy fish.”  Added Captain Ken.
“Anyway stop in and meet our staff, bring photos of your big catch, hear about the local “hot spots”  and what flies are working for each species.
This fall we will be offering castings lessons for novice to  advanced anglers at our shop at 1350 Empire Blvd., on the south shore of the Irondequoit Bay.
