Hay Shortage Support Zuma's Rescue Ranch

Since 2011 Horse Rescues throughout the midwest have been struggling to meet expanding hay budgets. Droughts have caused hay prices to soar 75% . Zuma's Rescue Ranch was blessed this year by HSUS, AAF and Jenisis with generous hay funding grants
Sept. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- It is the generosity and forward thinking of organizations like Humans Society of the United States(http://www.humanesociety.org), Animal Assisted Foundation (http://www.aaf-fd.org) and Jenisis Group (http://www.jenesis.org) that keep charities afloat in tough times. This year's drought throughout 60% of the US has been devastating for organizations that take care of horses like Zuma's Rescue Ranch. Hay has become known as "blades of gold". One town in Colorado has reported hay thefts of hay from fields and feed stores.

Zuma's Rescue Ranch (http://www.zumasrescueranch.com) is home to more than 55 heartbeats that rely on the organizations ability to provide feed on a daily basis, a 75% increase in 1/3 of the organizations budget. Even in good economic times an increase of that magnitude is hard to overcome, in today's economy, it may prove to be devastating if the community doesn't step in and help.

With the assistance received from the above-mentioned organizations, Zuma's is about 40% to the way closer to their fundraising goals for hay this year. If you are in a position to assist this organization meet the needs through this tough time, please contact Jodi Messenich, the Executive Director of Zuma's. jodi@zumasescueranch.com
