Sept. 11, 2012 - PRLog -- An iPad and Android app for young learners with autism had a massive spike in terms of the number of downloads last week, registering a whopping 1300% increase from the week before.

Notably, the new academic season set rolling on September 4 in a majority of school districts in the United States. On Tuesday, September 4, there were 17 downloads of iLearnNEarn – seven more than what the previous day’s count showed. However, figures rocketed from September 5 onwards, with 55 downloads on Wednesday, September 5; 91 on Thursday, September 6; 76 on Friday, September 7; 89 on Saturday, September 8 and 71 on Sunday, September 9. The week’s final tally was 409, compared to a meager 31 hits during the preceding week.

iLearnNEarn is billed as a robust and evidence-based special needs education model comprising a series of apps and an integrated apps library specifically built to help children with autism develop life skills that are essential to attain a certain level of independence. Created by WebTeam Corporation – one of New Jersey’s premier technology companies – iLearnNEarn uses the core principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to help parents and teachers deliver intense intervention to autistic children. A key benefit of the program is that it comes with a built-in tracking system.

“iLearnNEarn doesn’t leave anything to chance,” said Nish Parikh, CEO of WebTeam Corporation and the man behind the creation of Shanesh COLORS. “We have developed this special needs program keeping in mind the challenges parents and teachers routinely face when dealing with autism. These apps are intuitive and can make individualized report cards by monitoring a child’s progress. It is a great tool to synchronize learning across homes, schools and therapy centers,” Mr. Parikh said.

K. J. Sharma – senior adviser to WebTeam Corporation and a subject matter expert – explained the innovation that has gone into the making of iLearnNEarn. According to Mr. Sharma, the autism app series uses bright colors and neat animation to keep children engaged and focused. The apps have “grown popular among teachers” who need a tool that can work efficiently in “multi-student setups” such as classrooms, Mr. Sharma claimed.

Speaking of the latest spike, Mr. Parikh was certain that the USP of iLearnNEarn lies in its affordability and fun factor. “What has really worked in our favor is that for many apps in the iLearnNEarn series, a user does not have to drop a single penny. And we do not provide such luxury at the cost of quality or necessary evidence. On top of everything, even adults enjoy Shanesh’s autism intervention program”, Mr. Parikh said, indicating that it is fun for kids to be around with Luckal, Ningzy and other Shanesh characters.

The growing Android market contributed to a significant volume of downloads last week, the company said in a statement.
