Sept. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- Ecovery, LLC, and its Eco-partner, Gilmore Services have combined forces to offer Pensacola and Marianna business owners a new, convenient, environmentally-sound method of electronic scrap recycling.

Gilmore Services, already a source for secure data destruction in addition to its file storage services, now provides for drop off of end-of-life electronics at its two Ecovery collection sites – where the e-scrap will then be repurposed by Ecovery as raw materials.

By taking advantage of the service, business owners who drop off used electronics will keep potentially hazardous materials out of area landfills. After Ecovery strips each device down to its raw materials, copper, aluminum, plastic, and other precious metals can be reused and repurposed. In the non-ferrous recycling arena, Ecovery has gained national recognition as a go-to non-magnetic metals recycler for comprehensive quality recycling.

Every Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m., Gilmore Services will collect e-scrap from businesses and other organizations at its two locations – 31 E. Fairfield Drive in Pensacola and 3553 Industrial Park Drive in Marianna.

Items accepted for processing include: desktops, laptops, CPUs and towers, printers, copiers, fax machines, scanners, keyboards, mice, servers, phones, cell phones, pagers, PDAs, medical electronics, VCRs, DVD players, cameras, camcorders, TVs, TV dish boxes, radios and much more. For larger load pickups, call 888-439-7458.

“We’re proud to offer this type of recycling along with Gilmore Services,” said Ecovery President Chris Bardasian. “Our partnership is a natural fit – they offer data destruction among their many services to their clients, and Ecovery ensures that not only is the data destruction secure, but it’s also good for the environment. It also helps business owners get rid of clutter and reclaim their spaces.”

“Our goal is to make data destruction easy for businesses,” said Jacob Gilmore of Gilmore Services. “That’s why we go to them to pick up their documents for shredding, or their hard drives and end-of-life electronics for disposal. Partnering with Ecovery was the next logical step in our process.”
