Book launch party for Mistaken, local author J.A. Howell’s debut novel at Sleeping Moon Cafe

Sept. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Winter Park, FL – Author J.A. Howell has teamed up with locally-owned Sleeping Moon Café to celebrate the release of her first novel “Mistaken”. The book is a dramatic and suspenseful fiction about Dillan, a woman that finds out that her late fiancé was hiding more secrets than she ever could have imagined. His twin brother, Trey, was just one of them, and as soon as he shows up at her doorstep, she knows he has something to do with her fiancé’s murder.
Writing has always been a first love to Jennifer (J.A. Howell), but it took on a whole new level of passion shortly after high school. The idea for Mistaken was initially born through her own experience in grief after the sudden death of her father when she was eighteen.
“After the death of my father I became deeply depressed, we had all these unfinished conversations and unfulfilled memories that would never happen. Dillan and Trey both go through similar emotions that I found myself coping with. By breathing life into their characters I found myself healing through something I’d enjoyed doing since I was a kid. Writing.”
The novel follows both Dillan and Trey as each of them edge toward the truth behind their shared loss, and closer than they think to the people responsible. It’s a tale of not only mourning someone you love, but a tale of strength, redemption, self-sacrifice, and love.
In keeping with the indie spirit, Jennifer has teamed up with Sleeping Moon Café that is a long time supporter of local artists, musicians, and authors alike.
