The Roberto Clemente Health Clinic Fundraising Dinner San Jose, California

Sept. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- Press Release- San Jose, California. The Roberto Clemente Health Clinic is holding a fundraiser at Zona Rosa restaurant at 1141 The Alameda in San Jose, California. This event will be held on September 16, 2012 from 6:00 pm- 9:00 pm. Tickets are $60 per person and can be purchased on our website at http://www.nicaclinic.org.
     This fundraising event, hosted by Barbara Jordan, will entail a fantastic offering of tapas with paring wine provided by J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines followed by a presentation and some surprise items for auction. All proceeds will go towards expanding our clinic site in Limon 1, Nicaragua, as well as purchasing much needed medical equipment, and helping our volunteer program to grow.
    Our clinic, located in southwest Nicaragua, provides preventive and emergency care to numerous underserved communities. We serve as a positive agent for change by saving lives, improving health, and fulfilling the promise of medicine for those most in need. Each year, we see thousands of patients, as well as utilize our ambulance to transfer patients in critical condition to the nearest hospital. We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds to come to the clinic, and we survive thanks to your generosity. Our clinic’s staff consists of a doctor, several nurses, pharmacists, our administrative team, as well as short-term volunteers.
