Free Birthday Stuff, Celebrate the Entire Month of your Birthday

Sept. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- Do you remember what life was like with no responsibilities? Looking at children now, as adults, most of us can’t help to think how lucky kids are and wish we could bring our own kid days back. The life where crying would be met with a lollipop, our mess would be cleaned up by others, and we would be fed by the spoon and sung to bed.  Who doesn't miss being a child?

Out of all the luxuries of being a child, my favorite part was birthdays. There was no other holiday where you received so much love, attention, and gifts like your birthday. Christmas didn't count in my mind because everyone got presents on that day!

But my birthday was all about me and oh how special my family and friends made me feel on that day. Year after year since I was a baby till probably about age 18 I celebrated my birthday with family and close friends.
Once I got to college, the birthdays were less of a celebration of your birth but more of an excuse for everyone to party. And in my experience half the time a bunch of random people showed up who didn’t even know you but just wanted an excuse to go out.
In my twenties I started noticing how birthdays started to become less and less celebrated and less exciting by those around me. I think this less excitement comes from the responsibilities that keep piling on us as we get older each year and it makes us busier, stressed, and sometimes unhappy.
I decided this wasn’t going to be my story. I wasn’t going to be unhappy or hide every time I got a year older. In fact I decided to celebrate each and every one of my birthdays to rejoice in how much wiser I am and rejoice in my gratefulness for another year on planet earth!
