Follow on Google News | Valley Companies Work Together to Support SchoolsWith school budgets being slashed, and parents left to pick up the slack, two Coachella Valley-based companies have joined forces to create and implement a free progressive fundraising program based on the daily deal business model to help schools.
By: Save2Give Deals Two valley companies think they have the answer. At the beginning of the summer, Save2Give and Family Fun Deals-Schools partnered up to create an innovative new fundraising program based on the daily deal business model. The free program, which has been endorsed by the Parent Teacher Association, is now available to every school in the valley. Rather than selling overpriced candy bars and gift wrap, or giving endless hours to plan and execute fundraisers, parents simply need to supply their email. They’ll receive two to three offers per week of up to 96% off local restaurants, services, shopping, and fun things to do. Parents purchase only the deals that they want. They have no obligation to purchase anything, but when they do, 10% of the price will be donated to the school of their choice. Unlike traditional fundraisers, this method allows them to save money while simultaneously contributing to the school they care about. Every elementary and middle school in the valley can be found at http://www.FamilyFunDeal.com. High schools in the valley each have their own website that is custom branded for their school. Within these websites, parents and other supporters can direct their contribution to any sport or other extracurricular activity at the school when they buy a deal. A directory of high school websites is available at http://www.MyHighSchoolDeals.com. These valley-based companies are planning a full merger in January. They have already begun to expand the program into other school districts throughout Southern California, and they have a presence in Kentucky. The program is not limited to schools, either. They have fundraising websites for the American Heart Association, Desert Arc, the Desert Sands Educational Foundation, Friends of the Palm Springs Animal Shelter, and several other local nonprofit organizations. More information, including participating organizations, nonprofit enrollment information, and how to promote a business through the program, is available at http://www.Save2GiveDeals.org. End
