Aug. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- When it comes to jobs many people would not argue that raising children is one of the hardest jobs in the world. Raising children is an adventure that comes with rewards as well as difficulties.  Being a parent means loving your children unconditionally. You love them and try to guide them through life the best that you can. Part of raising a child means eventually you may need to discipline them. There have been many books written on how to discipline your child, but in the end this is something personal and how you choose to do so is up to you. Rubi Carter shares her thoughts on disciplining your child. The first step in disciplining your child is to set clear boundaries that are age appropriate. Make sure your child knows what the rules of the house are and go over them so he understands. Did you know that by the time a child is five years old his personality has already formed? That is why it’s very important as a parent to teach the basics of right and wrong when your child is very young. Even a baby knows the difference between right and wrong in some instances. When the rules are broken then your child should know there are consequences to follow. If you would like to read more log on to: http://www.oneamericansays.com/disciplining-children /.

There are many methods to discipline your child. What type of discipline you choose depends mostly on your belief system. Some people are against spanking their children, while others think there is nothing wrong with it. Time out is punishment often used by parents around the world-it seems to be effective for the most part. You can also take away privileges like playing a video game or going to a friend’s house. You can restrict your child from other privileges such as watching TV or spending time on the computer. What works for one child may not work for another. Remember that every child is wired differently and what works for lone, may not work for another. No matter what type of discipline you choose to use, as long as your child knows you love him it will be alright. After it’s all said and done your child will grow up to be a responsible adult. That is the goal of each parent- to teach their child how to be a responsible adult. You can read more by visiting Rubi Carter’s blog-site at: http://www.oneamericansays.com/disciplining-children/ .

It is every parents job to raise their kids with the knowledge of right and wrong, so those kids can grow up to be functional adults-able to teach their children the same lessons. A new parent always gets nervous, wondering if their doing the right thing. Although many books have been written on parenting, a new baby doesn’t come with an instruction hand book. Much of your parenting will be learned by trial and error. You can read more by visiting Rubi Carter’s blog-site at: http://www.oneamericansays.com/disciplining-children/ .
