Aug. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- EventMethod is happy to announce the addition of William Thomson to its Product Council, a group of advisors helping to shape the premier event management solution.

Thomson is the creator and curator of Tech-Fest, an influential event technology event in London. As an event consultant, he has worked with some of Europe’s largest events. Thomson brings a unique, global perspective to help shape EventMethod’s evolution.

“Any bit of kit that has the desire to flip the event management industry on its head was always going to get my interest,” said Thomson. “I’m uniquely positioned to see what clients need and to help EventMethod develop to support those needs.”

Thomson joins other well-known event experts including Andrew Maxwell, Lindsay Fultz and Liz King.

“With so much innovation happening so quickly, too many companies are creating without considering the end-user throughout the process,” said Liz King. “I jumped on this because I think it's important to support companies who are being very mindful of the user experience from the beginning.”

The Product Council offers advice and feedback to help EventMethod best meet event planners’ workflows and needs. The council is a key tool in shaping EventMethod’s rapid addition of new features.

“Having a Product Council is great for EventMethod because it gives key stakeholders a voice in the direction of an already great product,” said Product Council member Tom Ierna, Owner of Molecular Media.

EventMethod centralizes event registration, planning and management tools in the cloud. It changes the meaning of “event”: centralizing fragmented tools and creating relevant, persistent experiences through mobile engagement.

“EventMethod is a step towards making the planning and implementation of an event easier for organizers,” said Thomson. “This should in turn allow them to focus on adding value to their events. Something we all want to see happen.”
