Aug. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- Washington, DC - The National, APMA’s 2012 Annual Scientific Meeting and 100th Anniversary celebration, was a highlight occasion for the podiatric profession. Taking place in Washington, DC August 16 - 19, 2012, those in attendance enjoyed front-line educational lectures, hands-on workshops and a variety of networking opportunities. From the opening speech given by US Surgeon General Regina Benjamin, MD, MBA, to the 100th Anniversary Gala with a special performance by comedian Frank Caliendo, the annual meeting was a jubilant celebration.

GraMedica® is a proud Corporate Member of the APMA and a Bronze Sponsor for The National. “We were thrilled to support the celebration of the 100th anniversary of APMA,”   said Susan Doherty, Director, Education and Physician Resources at GraMedica®. “The Association works tirelessly to support and promote the podiatric profession and we are happy to do our part to support that mission.”

GraMedica® was excited to see many podiatric professionals visit the exhibit hall and stop by their booth. At The National, GraMedica® launched their latest innovative product line, the Soleus® Foot Care Collection Nail & Skin Rejuvenation Kit. Among visitors was Dr. Michael J. King, immediate past president of APMA. The exhibit hall was sold out, with more than 200 exhibitors and close to 300 booths.

Many prominent speakers and lecturers provided insight into cutting-edge advances in the field of podiatric medicine. Michael E. Graham, DPM, FACFAS, FAENS, founder of GraMedica® and creator of HyProCure®, had the honor of lecturing on TaloTarsal Joint Mechanics, stressing the importance of proper alignment of the TaloTarsal joint.  Another prominent lecturer, Philip Bresnahan, DPM, DABPS, FACFAS, provided insight into the science supporting extra-osseous talotarsal stabilization (EOTTS).

GraMedica® continues its support of the APMA and looks forward more successful events to come. Plans are already underway for the 2013 APMA Annual Scientific Meeting. The National is set to take place July 21–24, 2013 in Las Vegas, NV at The Venetian/The Palazzo Congress Center and Sands Expo.
