CHANDLER, Arizona (August 20, 2012)- Gary Johnson, Libertarian candidate for President has endorsed Marc J. Victor for U.S. Senate, Arizona in the seat vacated by retiring Senator, Jon Kyle.
“Marc Victor is a tenacious defender of Liberty. He knows the proper role of government and will steadfastly uphold the Constitution and protect the rights of the people,” said Governor Johnson. “We need Marc Victor in the U.S. Senate to stop our runaway government. Mr. Victor responded to the news, “Governor Johnson and Judge Gray stand for the principles that made America a great nation including freedom, individual responsibility, individual rights and free markets.” He continued, “For that reason, I am deeply honored to receive Governor Johnson’s endorsement and support for my campaign.”
A tireless advocate for human liberty, Mr. Victor has spoken to audiences across Arizona. He has previously addressed the American Legion, United States Marines, the Glendale Tea Party, the Freedom Summit, the Eris Society, the Arizona State Libertarian Party Convention, Libertopia, NORML and other events aimed at restoring and protecting freedom.
Marc J. Victor, aka “Attorney for Freedom” is a practicing criminal defense attorney in Arizona since 1994. As an attorney in Phoenix he has been consistently interviewed and quoted by the press as a legal expert of the criminal justice system. As such, Mr. Victor has presented many lectures on the criminal justice system to judges, prosecutors and police officers. He has authored several articles on the criminal justice system, some of which have been published nationally and recognized internationally.
Mr. Victor served as a Sergeant and Squad Leader in the United States Marine Corp during Operations Desert Storm/Shield. He was awarded a Certificate of Commendation for his efforts during Operation Desert Storm. He is an honorably discharged United States Marine who requires the same commitment to excellence from all members of the law firm that was expected of him during his time in the Marine Corps.
Mr. Victor is also featured as a significant contemporary libertarian thinker in the hardcover book entitled, I Chose Liberty by Professor Walter Block, published in 2010.
