How can we preserve Fort Collins fresh air from Greeley's "Methane Problem"? ELVIS was seen Fort Collins? Is there a wormhole in Fort Collins? Does Colorado Chocolate Cows make the best chocolate milk? ... Or just want to know the mysteries of an artistic mind?
These and more inner workings are revealed in this side-splitting art show at the Yes! Gallery in the Art Center of Fort Collins. Each detailed painting has been inspired by and for Fort Collins, Colorado. New resident & local artist, Jennifer Ivanovic, finds wonderful, local products that are worthy of great praise and then writes tongue-in-cheek complaint letters to the manufactures. She then paints an inspired modern painting. Voila! The creative processes are revealed, and the result is hilarious.
The show runs from September 1 - 30 at the Yes! gallery, inside the Art Center of Fort Collins, 406 N. College Ave. Public reception is first friday, September 7.

About the Artist, Jennifer Ivanovic:
Jennifer Ivanovic rarely uses a paintbrush. Her colorful paintings are from a unique pouring method that she invented. The artworks are poured unto the canvas, and blown with straws, manipulated with toothpicks and knifes. This flowing paint method promotes spontaneity, on canvas color mixing and "happy" accidents. The realistic images are often layered, using symbolic insight to delight the mind and communicate powerful ideas. Jennifer Ivanovic has a working studio at Poudre Artist Studio and her website can be found at www.jenniferivanovic.com.
