Chocolate Fountains at Boardmasters Festival 2012

Aug. 16, 2012 - PRLog -- Europe’s only surf, skate and music festival returned to Cornwall from 8 to 12th August for one of the greatest culminations of music and sport the Cornish coastline has ever witnessed!

Situated across two legendary locations along the beautiful Cornish coastline the Relentless Energy Drink Boardmasters in Association with Vans delivered an outstanding event in 2012.

The Fistral Beach site, where surfing in the UK began, played host to the best in action sports including the ASP World Tour Surfing events and The Vans Summer Sessions.  2012 celebrated the 31st anniversary of the Boardmasters surfing competition, with the men's surfing being upgraded to a 6 Star ASP World Surfing Series - that's only one star from becoming a prime event.  Also introduced this year was the 3 Star men's and ladies Longboard competitions. Newquay has witnessed the World’s very best surfers over the years, from Carroll to Curren and Fanning to Slater all the greats have graced Fistral Beach.

Friday and Saturday saw the party expand to the Festival site at Watergate Bay. Now known as Cornwall’s festival, the Boardmasters delivered a laid back festival atmosphere designed to bring out the inner surfer in everyone. The themed festival offered tailored music across an almighty 10 stages of live music featuring over 100 bands on what must be the most beautiful festival site in the UK.

The 2012 Vans Summer Sessions consisted of Vert Skate (2 categories) and BMX midi ramp competitions, representing some of the highest quality you will witness in the UK and Europe.  Nowhere in the UK will you see a higher standard of vert skating, with skaters from around the World making the journey to Newquay to make a claim on the £10,000 prize purse.

Along with the many activities was the Chocolate Fondue (http://www.chocolatefonduecompany.co.uk/sales.php) Company who were providing yummy dipping delicacies to dip in chocolate fountains for the many visitors at the festival.  They said “This was a great Boardmasters, definitely the best weather in the 8 years we've been going.
