Vospers Mazda to Showcase Mazda MX-5 GT Concept at Pentille Festival

Aug. 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Vospers Mazda Truro is set to showcase the unique MX-5 GT Concept at the Pentille Festival of Speed on 25 and 26 August.  The MX-5 GT Concept will be on display throughout the two day event giving car enthusiasts plenty of time to see this headline-grabbing MX-5.

As main sponsors of the event, Vospers Mazda will have the opportunity to show off the complete Mazda range as well showcasing the popular MX-5 GT Concept.  The 208ps Concept built by race specialists Jota Sport and based on Mazda’s MX-5 GT4 race car, will attract a great deal of attention.  

Originally a 2.0 litre MX-5 petrol model the GT Concept has been transformed.  The suspension has been uprated to improve handling, the exhaust note has been enhanced, Recaro sports seats keep the driver secure and comfortable, while carbon components reduce weight, and smooth the aerodynamics.  

“Vospers is very excited to be taking part in this up-and-coming event,” commented Alex Bass, Dealer Principal, Vopsers Mazda Truro.  “We anticipate the MX-5 GT Concept will attract a lot of attention, we have not announced the presence of this car to the public until now so we are hoping it will be a big surprise for all attending. The all-new CX-5 compact SUV has taken the crossover market by storm so we also hope that attendees will be keen to see what all the fuss is about.”

The all-new CX-5, Mazda6, Mazda5, Mazda3 and Mazda2 will also be on the Vospers Mazda stand.  The Truro-based dealership will also be providing their own Motor Sport Association (MSA) licensed driver to allow selected visitors to experience the handling and full benefits of the cars as demonstrated by a professional driver.

The Pentille Festival of speed is based within the picturesque surroundings of Pentille Castle & Estate, and features the famous ‘hillclimb’ competition.   There will be plenty to see and do, a full display of historic, classic and new cars, refreshment stalls offering everything from cupcakes to pasties – along with adrenalin fuelled activities including clay-pigeon shooting and 4X4 off-roading.
