Art Tasting, the latest event by the New London Art Council, breaks new ground by engaging the audience as active participants in the creative process.

Along with sessions that include role play, performance, interaction, games and music, emerging artists will give 30 second talks and discuss their work with the public. The shows are open to all audiences and include artists from a variety of styles, moods, mediums and ideas. All in a party atmosphere and in the heart of the exciting East End art scene.

The show will take place over two days in Brick Lane’s The Rag Factory with parties on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th of August.

New London Art Council founder Jay Liu said:  ‘We’re blowing away the cobwebs. Art Tasting offers the audience a different experience of creativity where they are no longer passive observers. Everyone knows the East End is the most exciting place in London right now. This show is part of that buzz.’

Art Tasting is the latest in a successful international tour of New London Art Council art events with artists handpicked from a pool of international and national galleries, degree shows and artist submissions.

Artists include: Imo Lo, a graduate of the University of Yale and University of Melbourne Art schools. Her diverse and dreamy melancholic work has been presented at the Live in Gallery, Brisbane. Iona Jay, a self described saxophone touting oil expressionist, with previous artwork exhibited at the Live in Gallery, Brisbane and the Plum Blossoms Gallery, Hong Kong. Jack Morris, an urban landscape cartographer, whose images have been displayed at the Cyprus College of Art and the Dray Walk Gallery in Brick Lane. Other artwork includes illustration, sculpture, painting, drawing and photography selected from an experienced team of curators to represent the best in emerging International art.
