Hope Church Helps Transform Education Landscape for the Future of Learning

Wiggins, Senior Pastor of The Hope Church, in Orlando, Florida, proudly announces the collaborative effort of Pinecrest Creek Academy @ The Hope, a K-2 charter school facility that will soon expand to accommodate grades K-5.  Nestled on the Hope Church campus at 3032 Monte Carlo Trail, Orlando, Florida, the school is poised to offer a new resource to the greater Washington Shores community. Applications for the 2012-2013 school year are currently being accepted online at: http://www.pinecrestcreek.com/ and at the administrative office of the Hope Church.

In response to conversations about moving forward with innovative ideas for community enrichment, Bishop Wiggins has been working to assist in the development of educational enhancement opportunities to address the growing needs of the area’s residents. “Our goal for “Pinecrest Creek Academy is to provide our current and future generations innovative strategies for academic success,” he states.  
The five key Principles for Success at Pinecrest Creek Academy include:
-   A learner sensitive environment that allows students to learn and progress at their individual pace
-        Small classroom sizes that allow greater attention to students
-   Encouragement of parental involvement to ensure familial support in each child’s education
-   An emphasis on character development through community service programs
-   A focus on investing in proven course materials that will prepare our students for exposure to academic success, and experiences

Pinecrest Creek Academy is a tuition-free, Orange County Public School Board approved charter school.  Opening August 2012, the school will launch a new path of progress in education for the Orlando community.  The goal of the interactive and supportive learning environment is to meet high standards of character and leadership development and elevate student achievement.
