July 26, 2012 - PRLog -- Powerline networking specialist devolo is showcasing its latest products, including the flagship dLAN 500 AV Wireless+ WiFi adapter and the dLAN LiveCam, at the IFA Consumer Electronics Unlimited trade show 2012 in Berlin, as part of the company’s focus on the ‘networked home’.

Designed as a dLAN powerline adapter for homes with multiple consumer electronics devices, the dLAN 500 AV Wireless+ WiFi provides maximum connectivity for the ‘networked home’ with its three Ethernet ports. Unlike conventional WiFi router solutions, the new adapter ensures the highest quality reception in rooms where mobile devices, such as laptops, smartphones and tablets are most used.

Through the Wireless-N standard and MIMO antenna design, a high speed connection is available with the dLAN 500 AV Wireless+ WiFi adapter, while the integrated electrical socket with mains filter optimises data transmission and prevents interference throughout the home.

devolo will also be presenting the first dLAN powerline camera accessible by app, the dLAN LiveCam, which enables global monitoring for anywhere in the home. The direct Internet connection and app for Apple iPhone/iPad and Android devices enables access to the camera so consumers can monitor the video stream, which is transmitted securely via the powerline, from any location. The dLAN LiveCam system can easily be expanded with additional cameras as needed while there is an infrared function on the camera for the highest quality images, day and night.

Peter Huddleston, Sales and Marketing Director, devolo UK, said: “The ‘networked home’ is at the centre of our exhibit this year at IFA 2012 and we’re excited to present our new dLAN home networking solutions, including the launch of the new flagship product, the dLAN 500 AV Wireless+ adapter, and the dLAN LiveCam, making consumer entertainment simpler to access and easier to enjoy.”

As well as the dLAN 500 AV Wireless+ WiFi and the dLAN LiveCam, the latest innovations on show at IFA 2012 from the powerline networking specialist include:

New dual tuner for the dLAN TV Sat
devolo has developed a new dual tuner for dLAN TV Sat and will be presenting the next generation in the TV Sat system. dLAN TV Sat provides a satellite TV supply via the powerline throughout the entire house, the new dual tuner integrates two satellite signals allowing two different TV channels to be received and recorded simultaneously. Satellite television can now be received on tablets and smartphones as well as the devolo set-top box.

dLAN LTE router
With the rise of LTE as the new standard for fast broadband Internet via mobile phone networks, devolo has created the dLAN LTE router. The new adapter supports a USB interface and is compatible with all common LTE and UMTS data modems and broadband wireless standards. This will allow consumers to easily and securely access the Internet through their web-enabled devices in the home.

dLAN Eco Line
The dLAN Eco Line is devolo's new dLAN home network product line for a simple and energy-saving home network. With the Dynamic PowerSave technology, these adapters adjust their energy consumption according to the connected device in use. devolo is introducing two adapters in this series - the dLAN 500 duo and the dLAN 500 duo+. Both products include two ports for a direct connection to network-compatible devices while the compact design enables flexible and discreet positioning around the home. In contrast to the classic duo model, the duo+ has an integrated electrical socket and a mains filter that improves the dLAN powerline transmission capacity.
