July 24, 2012 - PRLog -- (Washington, DC) –July 24, 2012— On the heels of its outstanding 2012
National Environmental Justice Conference and Training Program, the National
Environmental Justice Conference, Inc. (NEJC) is thrilled to announce the dates for its
2013 conference – April 3-5, 2013.
Once more, NEJC leaders are calling upon various members from all walks of life to

through people, policy and change.
This year, hundreds of attendees including federal and state agencies, local governments,
tribes, community groups, businesses small and large as well as public interest groups,
academia and other entities united to share and discuss views, challenges and solutions
for the very important topic of environmental justice (EJ).
The 2012 conference agenda included panel discussions, Q&A segments, online and inperson
training and a wide array of networking opportunities. It explored a range of
topics including Title VI, Health Disparities and Community Solutions. Various training
segments focused on EJ training, grant writing, technical assistance, the enhancement of
communities and provided ways for improved productivity and efficiency.
To add to the excitement, the U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Department of
Agriculture, U.S. Department of Interior, U.S. Fish and Wildlife, U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency, the Howard University School of Law and various other Federal
agencies joined together to provide expertise, as well as to be a sounding board to those
in attendance.
Anyone ready to openly engage in conversation on a variety of viewpoints and EJ
strategies should mark their calendars to take advantage of this action packed
conference. With all the success of last year, the NEJC has high hopes that the 2013
