July 21, 2012 - PRLog -- Small business owners struggling with words like Google+ Local Business, Google Places, Google Maps, SEO, SEM, page 1 ranking, ad infinitum might be pleased to know that at least one expert is willing to give it all away. Randy Kirk feels that he can lay claim to the title of expert since among all the experts, only he is perched atop the leader board for the search term Google Places Expert.
Now he has added to his outpouring of free DIY content available at his blog called googleplaceshelp.blogspot.com or his video channel at youtube.com/user/radwik77. The new video series is designed to be advice that lasts according to Kirk. "The fly-by-night group of SEO types are always promising the moon to customers based on their latest "cheat" or black hat method.
"But the truth is, these methods that might get you results for the moment are likely to end in a huge drop in rank, suspension, or even account closed. White hat companies use a set of approaches that worked five years ago and will work five years from now. That is what is contained in this new series."
The first in the series has to do with understanding where the consumer is searching. Kirk points out that well over half of all searches for a local small business are done on the Google Web search. This is the default search when a person opens the Google Search Engine. It is a blended search. Kirk explains all of this on the first video in the series of ten called "Ten Basics to Google Search Optimization on Google Local & Google Places: #1 - Which Search Engine."
