Tech-Con wanted to continue using Sage 300 ERP as their financial solution so they embarked on a search for a manufacturing solution integrated with Sage 300, and INDUSTRIOS met all their requirements.  Full integration was a critical success factor as their previous system required them to use spreadsheets and other external data sources which made project management, costing, inventory control and reporting difficult.  During the sales process, INDUSTRIOS was able to demonstrate their integration from quoting, sales, production, shipping, right through to the entries in Sage 300, and illustrated the fact that it is seamless.  According to Nino LaDuca, General Manager at Tech-Con, “Through the product demonstrations, we were able to identify many opportunities to streamline our business and improve cost capture while reducing our work load; we could see an end to double and triple keying with INDUSTRIOS.  The fact that we could see the integration in action during the demonstrations gave us confidence in our decision.”

Tech-Con also wanted to improve processes around employee timecards and payroll where triple keying was very time consuming, inefficient and subject to data entry errors.  With the functionality offered in INDUSTRIOS Time Card Management and the integration to payroll, Tech-Con estimates they’ll be able to divert 40 hours each week to more productive, value-add activities and reduce errors significantly.  The functionality allows them to easily collect time card records on the shop floor then run automated calculations for overtime using complex rules where needed, automatically calculate holiday and vacation pay taking qualification rules into consideration, and then update their payroll system without re-keying.  They’ll capture shop floor clock in and out times and let the system do the rest, no more data entry or re-keying.  INDUSTRIOS is the only manufacturing solution integrated with Sage 300 ERP, formerly Sage ERP Accpac, offering functionality to manage shop floor time card records with integration through to payroll, another differentiator from the other packages Tech-Con looked at.
