Natividad Medical Center Certified Farmers' Market every Wednesday From 11:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 22nd Is All About Kids!

SALINAS, CA– Natividad Medical Center offers a Certified Farmers' Market every Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The Farmers’ Market is located at 1441 Constitution Blvd., outside of building 200-Out Patient Services and is part of Natividad Medical Center’s ongoing commitment to promote wellness and healthy eating among Natividad Medical Center’s staff, patients and their families.

Join us Wednesday, August 22nd when it is all about kids!   There will be a cooking workshop from Jeffery’s in Carmel teaching how to make healthy and nutritious kid friendly foods that kids will love!  The workshops will begin at 12:00 p.m. outside of building 200 – Outpatient Services.

In addition, to a fun cooking workshop, Jose Ortiz and kids from Hijo Del Sol Arts will be on site from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. to do face painting (water soluble paint) and tissue paper flower making. Jose G. Ortiz is a famous local muralist, illustrator, painter, and sculptor. He is the visual art director for the Alisal Center for the Fine Arts, which provides arts instruction and arts programming to East Salinas. He received the Benefactor of the Arts Award from the Cultural Council of Monterey County in 1995 and was a Distinguished Fellow for California State University Monterey Bay in 2000.
