Follow on Google News | Do the people really want Obamacare?Despite public opposition, the new healthcare bill will most likely be passed by Congress.
By: Survey.com According to a recent survey administered by Survey.com, 12% of the 3,688 people surveyed are living without health insurance. 42% think it is the government’s job to provide affordable healthcare, and another 27% feel the government needs to regulate health insurance to some degree. This means that 69% of Americans think they government needs to do something about healthcare. Yet somehow, only 20% of people think this plan will reduce healthcare costs by any significant amount. Even though most people think the Fed needs to take action, 45% of people also think the plan being implemented will do our country harm, and 22% have no idea what will happen. In other words, only a puny 33% of our country believes Obamacare will actually do anything good for us. What all this boils down to, is that this healthcare act is being pushed through congress without the consent of the masses. Our government is supposed to function by majority—Whatever MOST of the people want is what happens, to simplify it. But this is happening whether people like it or not. I guess you’re welcome, 12%.
