The Hit Man Motivator - Bringing Out the Best in Year 12's

Year 12 students beware - The Hit-Man Motivator is the tough guy that won’t mince words when it comes to getting them on track with their studies.

July 9, 2012 - PRLog -- "The Hit-Man Motivator" a.k.a Shane Hodge, is a personal coach and inspirational speaker with over a decade experience motivating students, executives and corporate groups.

Having grown up on the tough back streets of Melbourne’s Western suburbs, “The Hit-Man Motivator” doesn’t look like kind of guy you would want to run into in a dark alley, yet he has successfully used his pull no punches style to bring out the best in clients from a variety of backgrounds.

His unique philosophy has made “The Hit-Man Motivator” in particularly high demand with parents of year 12 students as they seek outside help to bring home to their teenagers the importance of their final year in high school.

“I help people get rid of the stuff that has been introduced that stands between them and the things that really matter - in the case of year 12’s, that is reaching their full academic potential, getting great marks, and going out into a competitive world and job market with a fighting chance,”  Shane said.

Some of the issues the “Hit Man Motivator” has had to combat in the course of his work include physical issues, such as poor diet and lack of physical activity, drug addiction, social media and internet addiction, lack of self motivation, time management, social issues and low self-esteem.

“A lot of kids these days hate any kind of authority, and there is no-one to tell them no. They won’t listen to their parents or teachers, and I’m here to keep them accountable,” said Shane.

Shane makes no apologies for his tough stance with his charges and has developed a series of 14 steps called “The Comeback” which he uses to motivate and encourage his charges.

He says the high demand for his services from parents is in direct response to a world of political correctness gone mad, and he doesn’t shy away from taking a hard line with his charges when the occasion calls for it.

“I teach them to focus on what’s important and get rid of the rest. Sometimes that means getting them off Facebook, in some cases it means getting them on to a healthy diet and exercise program,” he said.

“Every person is different and you have to look at their individual circumstances. In one case, I  even had to go in and have a chat with an annoying boyfriend of one of my clients and get him to leave her alone so that she could focus on her studies,” said Shane.

Shane has plenty of form when it comes to getting the best performances out of his clients, having personally developed change management and performance management programs used by some of Australia’s corporate leaders such as Telstra, BHP, National Bank and Mars Confectionary, Thrifty Car Rental, Professionals Real Estate Group, training thousands of people a year.

He has also been involved in team building programs in sporting World including St Kilda Football Club and Country League teams and is an experienced motivational speaker.

In 1997 Shane made the move to the International Business Development and Training Market working with Corporations throughout South East Asia, China and the US and in the area of Business Development and Training, advising Major Hotel Groups in Asia, and IT firms such as Telekom Malaysia and SingTel.

Shane is available for one-on-one personal motivational sessions with individuals of all backgrounds as well as speaking engagements with corporates, groups and sporting organisations.
