Iced Tea and Joy - A Summer Toy Drive for Five Acres

July 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Los Angeles - Sunday July 8, 2012 from 3pm-8pm the public is invited to participate in Iced Tea and Joy – A Summer Toy Drive connecting the community to the joy of giving as well as the pleasure of receiving healing arts. Hazel Blue Studios is a new micro-yoga and living arts studio inviting and celebrating people of all physical levels and body types located in Atwater Village (90039) at 3058 1/2 Glendale Boulevard. After initial renovations Hazel Blue Studios owners Kyle McGough, RYT and Thea Pueschel, C.Ht. decided the "soft opening" of this unique space and place would happen in July. The toy drive concept was initially inspired as a birthday celebration with friends for Thea. However, colleague Adriana Franco, C.Ht. suggested that they invite the community to donate toys for vulnerable children and combine celebrations. Resulting in more toys for children in need. Bring a new toy (or donate monetarily what you can) to enjoy and experience the bounty of healing arts: Kid’s Yoga, Mini-Massage/Reiki Sessions, and Free Form Yoga.

Activities are available for people of all ages.  For the price of a new toy receive an afternoon to evening of health and community wellbeing. Kids Yoga 3pm-4:00pm with Karen Kazanci, RYT of Leaping Lotus Yoga. Relax 4pm-6pm Mini-Massage with Rachel Hardy, LMT of Bodywork by Rachel and Reiki by Adriana Franco, C.Ht. from The Art of Mind Body Therapy.  Free Form Yoga 6:15pm-7:45pm open studio drop in with Kyle McGough, RYT of Hazel Blue Studios and Heartbeat House as well as Michael Kachanov, RYT of Yogala. Release and relax 7:45pm-8:00pm in Savasana (Yoga Resting Pose) with Trinity Capili of One Sound Yoga and Cloud 9 Yoga.  Want to donate but not participate? Toy and monetary gift drop off available.

Celebrate summer with iced tea and snacks on the patio. Hang out and enjoy the charming studio and the wild urban garden, meet Kyle and Thea. Experience and get to know the talented healing arts professionals donating their time for the children of Five Acres. Donate cash or gift cards for toys if you rather. 100% of all proceeds and toys will go to Five Acres. All activities are first come first serve.
