By: FutureSense Mr Arvind Malhotra, founder and managing director of GapGuru states: ‘GapGuru’s Summer Fayre wants to highlight how now would be the perfect opportunity for any school leavers unsure of their gap year plans to get in touch and take a look at the life changing programmes we offer. This event is the perfect opportunity for students to sit down with an advisor and discuss their ideal placement. After all, a well planned gap year is the perfect way to improve your CV in this harsh economic climate.’ Mr Malhotra goes on to describe the day: ‘The afternoon will show a brief presentation of what we do and ex-volunteers and staff members who have been to the projects themselves will be available to offer advice. We will also be holding a range of competitions with big prizes such as the re-introduction of our Summer Stunner deal, money off vouchers and the chance to win a volunteering placement overseas.’ The event is taking place at the vital time of the year when results our out and UCAS clearing has commenced and when school leavers may have unfortunately missed out on the University of their choice or have simply decided to take a gap year. The event will be taking place on Friday 24th August, 3pm-5pm at Newbury Town Council, Market Place. It will open for anybody considering volunteering overseas for a gap year or even a career break. Placements range from two weeks – several months. -End- www.gapguru.com End
