Award-winning group, Hit Explosion, opens 2012 Bridgeport Village Summer Concert Series, July 12

June 27, 2012 - PRLog -- TIGARD, Ore.  – Popular Northwest group Hit Explosion will perform live Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Bridgeport Village, Portland’s premiere shopping and dining destination, as part of the Bridgeport Village Summer Concert Series.

Voted Best Live Performance Cover Band by the Northwest Music Awards Association and Best Local Band by The Eastside Weekly Readers’ Choice Awards, Hit Explosion performs authentic 70’s and 80’s disco and dance hits. Featuring an ensemble possessing a rare and unique chemistry, Hit Explosion is known for their ability to captivate and energize diverse audiences. Bridgeport Village guests are invited to enjoy the free performance from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. under the giant gazebo in the center of Bridgeport Village.

“The series continues to grow in popularity and we’re thrilled to kick it off with Hit Explosion,” said Sarah Sumpter, Marketing Manager, Bridgeport Village. “Great music in support of a good cause make for a perfect summer evening out.”

Taking place every Thursday through August 30, the free family-friendly concerts also feature a wine and beer garden, food and a large children’s play area. A portion of food and drink sales from the concerts series will be donated to The Foundation for Tigard-Tualatin Schools Bridging the Gap campaign. Donations to the Foundation may also be made at each concert. Local youth acts from the Tigard-Tualatin School District will once again be warming up the crowd every Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

The 2012 marks the sixth season for the exceptionally popular Bridgeport Village Summer Concert Series.
