CSA Wins a Contract to Provide Knowledge Management Services to SSC PAC

June 21, 2012 - PRLog -- Client Solution Architects LLC (CSA) announced the award of a contract to provide Microsoft SharePoint site development services to SPAWAR SSC PAC, Enterprise Technology Solutions (ETS) Code 55390. ETS’s role is to support Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Department of the Navy CIO with managing the acquisition of commercially available IT related software products and services.

Microsoft SharePoint was launched in 2001 as a web application platform that was initially associated with content and document management. Over the years it has broadened its capabilities to include the addition of collaborative components and workflow capabilities. Its tight integration with Microsoft Office Suite has resulted in SharePoint solutions being used by the vast majority of Fortune 500 companies.  

CSA will be responsible for the design and structure of the collaborative SharePoint environment for five ETS projects to include; Enterprise Software Licensing (ESL); Enterprise Software Initiative (ESI); Next Generation Enterprise Network Engineering (NGEN); Data Center Consolidation Network Engineering; and Cloud Computing Engineering. CSA will utilize the “SharePoint’s Wheel” of tools (Sites, Communities, Content, Search, Insights and Composites) to develop streamlined processes and efficient collaboration channels amongst the various employees and stakeholders.

“The end goal is to provide a tool that will help our client manage their data, applications and information in a secure and centrally managed environment,” said Emilie Vicchio, CSA’s SharePoint Project lead. “This will have organizational benefits such as controlled process management, improvements in daily procedures, and a centralized platform for easily capturing and sharing knowledge.”
