Private Flight Advisors Sponsors the Autism Speaks Celebrity Golf Challenge

June 14, 2012 - PRLog -- Mamaroneck, NY - On Monday, June 11, 2012 Private Flight Advisors, the premier boutique private jet charter and advisory firm, was a sponsor in the 14th Annual Autism Speaks Celebrity Golf Challenge at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, NY.  This year’s event, hosted by cofounders Suzanne and Bob Wright and co-chairs Susan and Kevin Murray, was a tremendous success raising over $915,000.

Autism Speaks is the world’s largest autism advocacy organization whose goal is to change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders. They are dedicated to funding global biomedical research, raising public awareness and bringing hope to all who deal with the hardships of this disorder. The Autism Speaks Celebrity Golf Challenge was created by Susan and Kevin Murray after their son, Owen, was diagnosed with autism. Since its inception, the mission has been to lend a helping hand to children and families across the world who deal with the challenges associated with autism every day.

Some celebrity guests at this year’s event included University of Connecticut Hall of Fame Head Basketball Coach, Jim Calhoun, NY Giants linebacker Michael Boley, former NBA NJ Nets player, Cliff Robinson, Portlandia and Sex and the City actor Kyle MacLachlan, News anchor Chris Wragge and Gossip Girl actor Matthew Settle.

It proved to be a very exciting afternoon as two separate hole in ones were made. Joe Lunny won $25,000 and Greg Schwab won an Audi Cabriolet. The day was a great success, complete with beautiful weather, golf, entertainment and delicious food.
