“Never before has a trim product with this suite of attributes been made available to builders and remodelers in the Western U.S,” said Tom Zimmerman, Director of Sales and Marketing for Boral TruExterior Trim. “Boral prides itself on bringing innovative high-performance building products to market, and Boral TruExterior Trim is the perfect example.”
Boral TruExterior Trim gives builders and remodelers a long-lasting and low maintenance trim option that truly performs with an excellent level of workability and durability. As an optimal solution for a variety of non-structural applications, Boral TruExterior Trim is a sustainable, yet competitively priced solution for fascia boards, soffits, frieze boards, rake boards, garage door casings, window surround and door trim, among many others.
Boral TruExterior Trim is produced from a proprietary blend of recycled polymers and fly-ash, which help to ensure consistency throughout the material and virtually no moisture cycling or absorption. Boral TruExterior Trim outperforms other man-made trim products by maintaining a high level of dimensional stability during periods of moisture and temperature changes. It is ideal for ground contact applications, and does not require end-sealing, special adhesives, or other costly installation techniques, like most other varieties of competing trim products.
Boral TruExterior Trim is similar to wood in that it is easy to handle, of similar weight, can be painted any color, is reversible and can be installed with the same tools. However, it provides enhanced durability and workability and is virtually free from rotting, cupping, twisting, and termite attacks. The product is protected under a 20-year limited warranty.
As part of the Western United States launch of the product, Boral recently announced the addition of two building product sales leaders. Gregory Stout was named Territory Sales Manager in California, leading growth and sales in the state, and Steve Osterman was named Territory Sales Manager for the Pacific Northwest, spearheading sales and growth across Oregon and Washington.
Boral has also forged a new distribution agreement with Capital Lumber, a leading distributor of specialty building materials serving the Western United States. Capital Lumber will work to expand the availability and sales of Boral TruExterior Trim throughout California, Oregon and Washington.
“Capital Lumber is a proven leader in introducing new building product categories in its region and is poised to make major waves in increasing the availability of product so it is accessible to our core builder and remodeler audiences in these states,” notes Zimmerman.
“Boral TruExterior Trim is the type of building product that Capital Lumber thrives on bringing to market,” added Michael Darby, Vice President of Business Development for Capital Lumber. “There is no doubt that our customers are going to respond to the product’s performance benefits, recycled content and price point advantages.”
Capital Lumber will distribute the product from its various West Coast locations including Chino, California; Woodburn, Oregon; and Tacoma, Washington.
