June 12, 2012 - PRLog -- When you are friends on Facebook you never know who you will connect with.

FACEBOOK is the most popular social network in the world. Although it is one of the most popular ways to network it became the vehicle that Business Consultant Deidra Stephens used to locate brother she had not seen in 31 years.

Ms. Stephens uses Facebook to promote her consulting business and to stay in contact with family members and friends; little did she know that she would connect with her brother who was put up into foster care as a baby and later put up for adoption when he was four years old.

The journey began many years ago when Deidra decided to try and find her long lost brother. After reaching out to family members, writing to various shows for help and trying other internet search methods unsuccessfully, she decided to try FACEBOOK.

In March, she began searching for the name Kennard Boles (which is her maiden name), or Kennard Crawford (which she was told would be his adoptive family name). Sure enough she found one. “I decided to send him a message to let him know that we may be related” said Deidra. However, she was a bit disappointed when he didn’t respond. Two months passed and she was ready to give up.  Apparently, he had just not checked his Facebook!

In June, the call came through to the Red Letter Agency office after hours and was received by The RLA’s President and CEO, James Thomas. “I was very skeptical because I know Ms. Stephens and she never mentioned a missing brother, let alone a brother with a heavy British accent” said Mr. Thomas. “I hesitantly relayed the message to Ms. Stephens and sure enough it was her brother!”

He read her message, looked at her Facebook page and saw family members that looked like him as well as information regarding her weekly column in California Crusader Newspaper, and that her business New Beginnings Training and Consulting was represented by the Red Letter Agency PR Firm. So he decided to contact “The RLA” to make contact with Ms. Stephens.

Kennard Crawford, now 35 spent many years in the UK and now resides in Portland Oregon. Deidra Stephens is a resident of Beverly Hills, California.

A reunion is being planned. Media that would like to cover the reunion or interview Deidra
Stephens please call The Red Letter Agency at (310)594-1538 or 213-444-9444.
