SARTONK Releases New Belt for Gleason's Gym

June 11, 2012 - PRLog -- Union City, New Jersey -- The first and second of June 2012 marked a milestone in the 75 year history of Gleason’s Gym, located in Brooklyn, New York. During its second annual Master’s Tournament, the landmark boxing gym presented winners with their new designer “Master’s Champion” belt.

Bruce Silverglade, owner and President of the gym, commissioned SARTONK to design  the Gleason’s belt. “Bruce wanted the history of the gym -- the oldness -- to be represented in the belt. We loved this idea, and wanted to add a freshness to the belt as well,” commented Edward S. Majian, President of Sartonk Designs. The end product is a white mini-belt with brass antiqued metal. The medallion is a recreation of Gleason’s famous logo, with its signature dangling boxing gloves.

“I was sure that the belt designed for Gleason's Gym by SARTONK was going to be nice. However, I am totally blown away at the beauty and quality of the finished product. This belt far exceeds the level of excellence that I imagined,” commented Silverglade. Majian was invited to the ring to present SARTONK’s creation to one of the winners.

“We’re proud to have created an award for such an historically significant gym. And Gleason’s is beyond a gym. It’s a community for anyone interested in the sport of boxing. It’s been an honor for us to be welcomed into this community,” reflected Hasmig Tatiossian, Executive Manager at Sartonk Designs.

Speaking about his relationship with SARTONK, Silvergrade said, “Both Ed and Hasmig made my experience of dealing with SARTONK a real pleasure. Their professionalism in design and in handling a new client made our new found relationship a success and one that I will continue with for a long time.”

“This belt is only the beginning. There are currently other beautiful designs in the works for Gleason’s,” commented Majian.
