Argus Agent Receives Accreditation: Terri West Awarded Accredited Advisor in Insurance Designation

PRLog (Press Release) - Jun. 6, 2012 - Argus Insurance, Inc., leading Eastern Washington Insurance brokerage firm with offices in Yakima, Sunnyside, Ellensburg, and Moses Lake, WA, specializing in Business, Farm, Construction, Automobile, Home, Life, and Employee Benefits Insurance, announces Terri West, Argus Agent, has received her Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI®) designation from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters and the Insurance Institute of America (AICPCU / IIA).

There are several insurance designations available to Agents, each representing a different level of accomplishment and knowledge base.  The Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI®) designation is an advanced professional insurance designation demonstrating and conferring a superior level of industry knowledge and expertise that is highly beneficial to clients.

To obtain her AAI®, West successfully completed several courses of study and passed three national examinations designed to test her multiline, ethical, and technical knowledge of the insurance industry.  She demonstrates in-depth knowledge on subjects such complex multiline products, coverage, pricing, customer service, and financial and sales management.

The American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (AICPCU) was founded in 1942 and coordinated its operations with the  Insurance Institute of America (IIA) in 1953.  The IIA was founded in 1909 and remains the oldest national property-casualty insurance educational organization.  Together they offer current, relevant, educational programs to meet the needs of today’s risk management and insurance professionals.
