Cosmetique Salon in New Milford, Connecticut Celebrates Nine Years of Success

June 1, 2012 - PRLog -- Cosmetique Salon Owner Edina Psorn is celebrating nine years of entrepreneurial success in New Milford, Connecticut this June. “Our salon is a successful fusion of European and American skin and hair care methodologies and products. Having moved to Connecticut 17 years ago from Europe, I have integrated many hair and skin care beliefs and systems from different European countries into the success of my salon.” Over eight years ago, Psorn opened her Cosmetique salon at 31 Park Lane on Route 202 in New Milford. Three years ago she moved to the current location at 13 Church Street, directly across from the Town Hall. “Through the years I’ve welcomed a growing clientele of women, men and children who appreciate that we provide highly-personalized service. No one is ever rushed through our salon, and Church Street’s quiet atmosphere offers a relaxing atmosphere for an enjoyable salon visit.”

Edina Psorn’s Cosmetique Salon offers a full range of women’s, men’s and children’s haircuts and European-origin products. “We specialize in up-dos for long hair, hair relaxing methods, design waves, conditioning and purifying treatments for hair, including color and highlighting processes. “We are the only salon in the area to offer eyelash perms which make eye lashes curly for up to eight weeks,” stated Psorn. “We also offer make-up application and our Bridal Package specials include bride and bridal party wedding day hair design, bride and bridal party make-up application, a bride facial plus on-site wedding services.”

Opening her Cosmetique salon doors nine years ago on June 16, 2003, Edina Psorn, a resident of New Milford for 17 years, provides hair styling and coloring plus the use and retail sale of high-end hair and skin professional salon products. “Care of the hair and skin is vitally essential to a person’s overall wellbeing. Facials are much more than a luxury, they are truly essential for keeping a person’s skin radiant, healthy, clear of dark spots and signs of aging, and minimizing wrinkles. The aging process innately diminishes elasticity in everyone’s skin, and facials maintain the skin’s healthy tone and vibrancy as a person ages. Facials are more important than pedicures and manicures because the face is the most sensitive and always-exposed-to-the-elements part of the human body.”

At the 13 Church Street location, Cosmetique Salon features a very impressive line of naturally-organic skin and hair products. “My focus is on providing only high quality, all-natural products,” Psorn explained. “One of my favorite line is Yon-KaParis because 70% of Yon-Ka products are composed of more than 90% natural ingredients. Every Yon-Ka product is formulated with four botanical therapies of aromatherapy, herbal medicine, marine plant extracts and natural fruit acids to promote healthy cell turnover.

We also use and sell Pureology’s anti-aging hair care products which are all organic. Many people don’t realize it but their hair ages along with the skin. The aging process of hair is accelerated when treated with harsh chemicals and exposed to the sun. In addition to owner Edina Psorn, Cosmetique Salon is staffed by hair stylists Bonnie Lathrop of New Milford and Kristina Checchia of Brookfield.
