Cars For Days Launches an Exciting New Automotive Blog

Jaguar Tweets about Mad Men

May 30, 2012-Back in April, the Jaguar XKE made an unannounced cameo appearance on the hit AMC television show "Mad Men." Surprisingly enough, the British brand didn't pay for the plug and was not informed by AMC that their vehicle would be featured on the show. For those unfamiliar with Mad Men, it's a drama set in 1960's New York, and is based on the business dealings of an up and coming advertising agency on Madison Avenue, Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce or SCDP.

After the XKE's surprise appearance last month, Jaguar was relatively quiet, but did confirm that they were unaware of AMC's plans to highlight the vehicle on Mad Men. At the time, some speculated that AMC did not contact Jaguar beforehand because the vehicle was involved in a slightly scandalous storyline involving a company representative at a brothel.

A month later, not much has changed. Jaguar is still being featured on Mad Men, still involved in scandalous storylines, and still not paying for the exposure. However, after last night's episode, Jaguar tweeted about the show saying…
