Follow on Google News | Lisa Levison discusses entrepreneurship in the newly released book STAND IN THE HEATLisa Levison tells how she remains cool under pressure as an entrepreneur. Her discussion weighs heavenly on believing, taking risks and moving from a "me" frame of mind to "we".
By: Turner Capital Inc. Levison never stopped believing in or giving up on being an entrepreneur. She believed that she had what it took to stand in the heat and survive. In 2008, with almost little to no working capital, no partners and a very small, loyal support team, Levison was able to invent and launch a ground breaking, innovative product called derma-glove® Operating business in a slow economy often times made her doubt whether or not she should continue. Ultimately, it was her ability to believe, focus and change her mindset from "me" to "we" that she was able to progress and successfully accomplish the end results she believed could be a reality. If she didn't believe, then clearly no one else would. Now, in addition to the release of this book, Levison has been able to see her vision for derma-glove® Levison also recognizes the importance of taking risks. Carver states that the reason why he didn't always see an idea through is due to the lack of working capital. When in actuality, the real reason why he believes that he didn't see an idea through was because of fear. In Carver's book, Levison states that it's okay to take risks, however you can not do this without having complete trust that you can control the end result, regardless of how the journey reveals itself. Often times, Entrepreneurs focuses on the what if's, what if I fail and what if I do not succeed? Conversely, Levison realized that she must be her biggest supporter, standing alone at many times in the heat but believing she could and would obtain the final end result. She states, "I have to trust me. I have to trust that my ideas are believable and that I am my biggest supporter until the very end, regardless of the journey to the finish" Glenn Carver knew that he was not alone on his journey of entrepreneurship. Lisa Turner Levison as well as several other successful business owners have been able to Stand Through The HEAT despite the many trials and tribulations that come along with being an entrepreneur. The Book features a combination of entrepreneurs from all walks of life and backgrounds. Other entrepreneurs in the book include: Herman Cain, Former 2012 Presidential Candidate, Mo Anderson, Vice Chairman of Killer Williams Realty, Pano Karatassos, Founder and President of the Buckhead Life Restaurant Group and many more successful entrepreneurs. This book is truly a great resource for those who are thinking about becoming an entrepreneur and for those that are entrepreneur's that need to be invigorated and revitalized. End
