Zodiac MILPRO RIB Shows Its Professional Capabilities At Seawork

May 21, 2012 - PRLog -- The SRR 750 is now the fourth model in Zodiac’s successful Sea Rib® Responder® series with the show model being powered by twin 130HP outboards and fitted with 4 shock mitigation seats.
   This recently introduced boat is practical and versatile and completes the SRR product range by fitting neatly within the existing 4 m, 6.5 m and 8.7 m boats. Although Zodiac Milpro is well-known for the performance and durability of its 9 m (8.7 m) RIBs that are widely used by military and security professionals, the features on the new SRR 750 are making it popular with users seeking a slightly smaller boat.
   With the SRR 750, Zodiac Milpro Sector’s designers have followed the company’s policy of making a boat that is tough, simple to use and easy to maintain. It is intended to provide the highest standards of performance, handling and user comfort through advanced hull design and the company’s detailed understanding of RIB technology.
   The Sea Rib® Responder® 750 is capable of carrying seven people as a total payload of 1750 kg in the company’s Design Category B or 16 people within a 2400 kg payload in Category C. Being built to meet the demands of the professional market, all of Sea Rib® Responders® have reinforced hulls that are capable of withstanding extreme shocks and G-forces when they are pushed to their limit while fully laden.
   The 750 introduced new features to the SRR series that include built-in large capacity fuel tanks, practical bow and stern lockers, a self-bailing deck and below-deck cable routing. A deck hatch provides access to the fuel gauge and connections and there is a removable cover for tank maintenance and possible change. The deck area is open and uncluttered and is strongly reinforced. This allows customers to choose from Zodiac Milpro’s® wide range of steering consoles, bolsters and other equipment in various customized configurations.
   A challenge for the Zodiac Milpro Sector marketing team at Seawork was to choose just two boats to exhibit from a range that now extends to 40 different RIBs and inflatables. The company believes it can offer a boat suitable for any job on the water and chose to show the FC-470® EVO on its stand to represent the capabilities of its inflatables.  The Zodiac Milpro® FC-470® EVO features an inflatable floor which enables it to combine the performance and handling attributes of rigid deck boat with the easy-stow capability of a conventional inflatable. The new boat is already proving popular with emergency services that have been quick to spot the benefits of buying new boats that can do the job of two different types. The Zodiac Milpro® FC-470® is already well established with military users throughout the world but the introduction of a version with an inflatable floor significantly extends its capabilities. The boat’s unique hull shape enables it to carry heavy loads while retaining exceptional maneuverability. The inflatable floor reduces the boat’s weight by 30 kgs and combines with a deeper V hull to improve performance and crew comfort. It can now be powered by a 55 hp outboard engine which can give it exceptional on-water performance.
