InnoVision Board Chair Announces Call for Entries for InnoVision 2012 Tech Awards

May 21, 2012 - PRLog -- InnoVision Board Chairman, Douglas Kim, is pleased to announce the Call for Entries for the InnoVision 2012 Technology Awards.  InnoVision is the premier organization that honors the world-class achievements of businesses, educational institutions and governmental entities in South Carolina’s Upstate and Greater Midlands regions.  Celebrating over 14 years of serving the community, the InnoVision program supports innovation through two activities; the annual InnoVision Awards ceremony and educational InnoVision Forums that are held throughout the year.

InnoVision’s goals include honoring and highlighting South Carolina organizations and individuals that develop or apply technological innovation, advancing technical collaboration and innovation among organizations and individuals, and honoring and encouraging participants and programs that engage youth in the areas of science, math, and technological innovation.

There are eight (8) award categories.  2011 Award winners were:

   ⇨  Technology Development - SensorTech Corp.  and Techtronic Industries North America, Inc.
   ⇨  Innovation in Education - Clemson University, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering
   ⇨  Small Enterprise - CareCam Innovations
   ⇨  Hall of Fame Community Service - Not recognized in 2011
   ⇨  Dr. Charles Townes Individual Achievement - Roger Milliken
   ⇨  Young Innovator - Pickens County Career & Technology Center, Mechatronics Team

About InnoVision Board Chairman, Doug Kim:  Doug Kim chairs the Intellectual Property Practice Group at McNair Law Firm, P.A., where he concentrates on counseling companies concerning the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights as well as assisting in enhancing intellectual property portfolios to increase company worth.
