SARTONK Unveils New Product Design: First of its Kind

May 4, 2012 - PRLog -- Union City, New Jersey -- Sartonk Designs has released a new belt for the upcoming “Chaos at the Casino,” to be held at the Hollywood Park Casino in Inglewood, California. Twenty-six fighters are scheduled to compete in boxing, MMA, and Muay Thai on Saturday, May 5th.

The event, organized by Lights Out Promotions in association with HyeFighters, will showcase twelve Armenian fighters who, together with their equally talented competitors, will be vying for the “Fight of the Night” title in their sport. One belt in each of the three categories -- Boxing, MMA, Muay Thai -- will be awarded.

That evening’s belt is the latest designer item by the originator of the modern boxing belt, Sartonk Designs. The BicepBelt^TM is the first of its kind in the industry. It bears the hand-crafted design of the awarding organization on a trademark strap that’s sized to be worn around a fighter’s bicep.

Reflecting on the belt, Araz Araradian, President and CEO of HyeFighters, expressed, “Sartonk Designs completely understood what this award was about and what it means to the recipient. Anyone can make a belt, but they understood the spirit of this award and it shows in the final product. We are certain this will be the beginning of a long-term relationship as they are the official belt makers of HyeFighters.”

President of Sartonk Designs, Edward S. Majian, expressed excitement about the BicepBelt^TM: “We’ve been developing this product for some time, and I’m thrilled about its release. While not every event enjoys the magnitude of a World Championship bout, we know many organizations that create phenomenal competitions, and deserve the prestige that comes from awarding a SARTONK original. The BicepBelt^TM is our way of recognizing that.” In reference to the May 5th event, Majian commented, “We’ve long been sensitive to the diverse national spirits of the different organizations that we serve internationally. It’s special to finally do the same for the Armenian community, and to highlight Armenians’ contributions to combative sports. This makes my grandfather and our family very proud. With a similar outlook, President and CEO of Lights Out Promotions, George Bastrmajyan, intimated his enthusiasm: “This is the first time I have seen a belt that is specific to Armenian fighters. I am amazed at the quality and am proud that its inauguration will take place at a Lights Out Promotions event.”

The BicepBelt^TM follows a tradition of originality and cutting-edge design set by Majian’s grandfather, Ardash Sahaghian. For his unparalleled craftsmanship and contributions to the boxing industry, Ardash Sahaghian will be inducted this year into the New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame.
