The search continues to find the most beautiful Hooters Girl across the country in the 2012 Miss Hooters Australia Swimsuit Pageant. In less than two weeks Hooters will select one lucky girl to represent Australia at the 16th annual Miss Hooters International Swimsuit competition in Miami, Florida in June.
The final women have been selected from preliminary rounds at Hooters of Parramatta, Hooters of Penrith, and Hooters of Campbelltown. The 18 contestants competing in the Grand Final will strut down the catwalk in front of celebrity judges and cheering fans on the 2nd of May at the Hooters of Parramatta beginning at 7pm. All strive to win, but only one can be crowned Miss Hooters Australia 2012.
The judging panel consists of a great mix of Sydney’s beautiful and well-known people. International model/actress and Season 1 winner of Beauty and the Geek Emma Cam, Ralph Swimwear Model of the Year and Zoo Covergirl Kahili Blundell, Playboy model and creator of Sheridyn Swimwear Miss Sheridyn Fisher, producer of the infamous Kyle and Jackie O Show Nick Cervetto, and Maxim men’s magazine representative Drew Haywood will all decide this year’s winner.
The evening of the pageant Hooters will also be auctioning off a seat on the judges panel for charity. The amount raised will be donated to breast cancer research in Australia.
The Hooters girls will be judged on three rounds, Australian Theme Costume, Cocktail Wear, and Swimwear of Choice. As a former Miss Hooters Australia, Cam said she is excited to see the creativity when it comes to outfit, song choices, and Australian costumes.
“When I competed, I put a lot of effort into my preparation for the competition and worked hard to be the best on the night.”
Cam went on to compete in the Hooters International Pageant in 2008 and took home the Miss Congeniality Award. She was also featured in the Fox Sports Hooters Dream Girls Special, filmed in the Bahamas.
“Being an actress you have a similar responsibility to a Hooters girl. You must have constant energy, personality, and look camera ready on all occasions,” commented Cam.
This year’s winner will not only have the honour and title of Miss Hooters Australia 2012, but she will also take home cash, a modeling portfolio from acclaimed photographer Matt Pho, be featured in Maxim magazine, and become the new face of Hooters Australia in all promotional material for the next 12 months. In addition to these wonderful prizes, the winner will be flown to Miami, all expenses paid, to represent Australia at the Miss Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant where she will compete for $150,000 in prizes and the title of Miss Hooters International.
“Miami was amazing! I’ve done a lot of modeling competitions here in Australia but I don’t think you’ll even understand what a pageant is really like until you compete over there,” said Miss Hooters Australia 2010, Kylie Whyte.
“The competition is very, very, tough; I mean you are competing against 100 of the most beautiful women in the world. All in all it was really an amazing experience, and the girls and the event staff are so lovely. I’d do it again every year if I could!”
The May 2nd Grand Final is open to the public, however bookings are essential. Seats on the catwalk including all food and beverages for the night are also still available for $150.
