CareNovate.com is Best of the Web 2012 Social Media Rockstars Finalist

April 10, 2012 - PRLog -- The SeniorHomes.com 2012 Best of the Web contest aims to identify the most valuable resources across the web for seniors, caregivers and industry professionals in numerous categories.  

CareNovate.com is an online service created to connect background checked and screened caregivers with care seekers easy & safely online. With their robust healthcare team from diverse backgrounds, CareNovate.com also provides care giving, health, and wellness information that are pertinent to caregiver, care seekers and their families. Although the company will be launching their website in 2012, the team has been providing care giving tips utilizing social media avenues such as their Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn since late 2011.

The nominations for the Best of the Web in the Social Media Rockstars – Organizations Category finalist was based upon the website’s number of social media followers, frequency of use, and the quality of resources distributed.  The Social Media Rockstar category was looking for the organizations that stood out in the senior living space for being able to connect with consumers and create a strong following.

•   Social Media Rockstars – Individuals
•   Social Media Rockstars – Organizations
•   Best Senior Living Industry Resources

In total, more than 450 nominations were received earning more than 6,500 votes overall.
Hundreds of nominees submitted from industry professionals, seniors and caregivers across the nation. During the finalist phase, 19 judges hailing from all corners of the industry will be evaluating websites using a set of standardized rating criteria.

Rating rubrics have been defined on a category level to ensure the most objective and relevant feedback, but includes criteria such as:
•   Quality of content
•   Credibility and accuracy
•   Navigation and design
•   Usability
•   Frequency of posts
•   Other category-specific qualifiers

Winners were chosen for each category based on the average of judge ratings. Winners were announced on March 15, 2012.
