ATLANTA – (April 10, 2012) The Spiritual Living Center of Atlanta (SLCA) welcomes Visionary, Futurist, and Author Barbara Marx Hubbard for a thought-provoking talk at our 11:30 am service at the Woodruff Arts Center on Sunday, April 15, 2012.

"In 1945 the United States dropped atomic bombs on Japan, and the world caught its breath. This pivotal event deeply impacted the young Barbara Marx Hubbard, and she found herself asking President Eisenhower, "What is the meaning of our power that is good?" Barbara's 40+ year inquiry and the answers she has found, offer invaluable assistance to us all at this time in our history. Despite the state of the world, we are truly on the threshold of great possibility, of our own conscious evolution.

Barbara Marx Hubbard will offer her profound vision and deep personal and social practices that can empower us to “cross the gap” from “here,” breakdowns, to “there,” breakthroughs. She will describe the meaning of Day One on December 22, 2012 as the signal of a planetary “birth” of the next stage of our evolution. All participants will be invited to join together to “activate” what can become a positive and historic movement of change in 2012.

About the Spiritual Living Center of Atlanta
The Spiritual Living Center of Atlanta (SLCA) was founded in 1979 by The Rev. Kennedy Shultz (1931 – 2000), and was chartered in that year as a member church of Religious Science International, now known as the Centers for Spiritual Living (CSL). After 20 years building an inclusive spiritual community based on the principles of Science of Mind, Shultz retired in 1999. Ministerial leadership was passed to The Rev. Paul Gonyea that same year where he served until his retirement in 2010. Currently, The Rev. Dr. David Ault serves as Senior Minister of what has become the largest CSL center on the East Coast and the fourth largest in the world.
