Follow on Google News | INERGY Automotive Systems Moving In Manufacturing MachinesThe continued construction at the Inergy plant has been assisted by the mild Southeastern Michigan winter and with the warm spring, activity is moving at even more rapid pace.
By: Market Insights, LLC Daily meetings are conducted to coordinate all construction processes and include all the various trades on the project.Sheet metal workers, laborers, carpenters, iron workers, equipment riggers, electricians, plumbers, welding, glass, and rail workers united for the common good. Once a month, a “safety stand-down” is conducted by the General Contractor (The Lathrop Company) to review progress, discuss upcoming plans and associated safety alerts. Every two weeks, a safety walk through is performed. Every day, each team meets and confirms their plans along with continued safety strategies. Safety is a core value to Inergy and all involved with this construction project. They have almost reached their peak of 200 employees/contractors daily. The first Blow Molding machine has been unwrapped after its long journey from Germany. It took eight truckloads to transport this huge machine in total. The last piece arrived on a one hundred seventy five foot long trailer guided by two escort vehicles. It will be reassembled in its work station within the next few weeks. Additional equipment for this manufacturing line will be installed in the next weeks. This process will happen seven more times for a total of 8 complete manufacturing lines. These manufacturing lines will produce 1.3 – 1.4 million fuel systems a year in this new facility. All is proceeding well with the new Inergy facility in Huron Township.
