Internet Radio Broadcast to honor the career of soprano Kathleen Battle March 28 at 7 p.m.

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 24, 2012 - A devout fan Kathleen Battle fan since high school, radio host and arts journalist Patrick D. McCoy will host a special show devoted to his favorite soprano.  This show will focus specifically on the triumphs of Ms. Battle's career and the power of her musical art.  Pre-screened guests will be invited to speak on their personal introduction to Ms. Battle's career by way of concert appearances and her numerous recordings.  

The broadcast will also feature sound clips representative of Ms. Battle's rich body of work. "I can't even put into words what this show means to me.  I discovered Ms. Battle's voice in the discovery stages of my own artistic existence and never have been the same." said McCoy.

Born in Portsmouth, Ohio in 1948, Kathleen Battle's soaring voice has taken her to the greatest concert stages and concert halls of the world.  After the end of her tenure at the Metropolitan Opera, where she sang for over 20 years, Ms. Battle continues to mesmerize audiences with her recitals and concert appearances, which has even included collaborations with popular artists such as Alicia Keys, Queen Latifah, James Ingram and Janet Jackson.
